Ok, I am a little behind (just 2 1/2 months thats all).. That just means I am having a good time.. Right??? I am now in Thailand and having a ball eating all sorts of crazy things and taking my time to see the sights. I even did some scuba diving which was a real highlight. At this point I have been away for over 9 months and have only a few left. Where did the time go? That just means I have to get up-to-date before I move on again. Hope everyone is doing well. Be sure to add comments on the photos its always fun to read them.

Nepal was a good break from India but it was during the rainy season so I didn't get to see much of the mountains. I crossed the border and booked a bus to Pokhara in hopes of doing some hiking on the Annapurna Range, it was there I met these 7 Indian guys who insisted on taking me with them in the bus they had rented. I tried to tell them I had bought a bus ticket but they would not give up. In the end they ripped up my bus ticket, having no other option I joined them on the 6 hour van journey to Pokhara. I think that I was along for the ride more for their amusement then my own cause the whole time they would try to make me sing songs in ... read more

Lets just say that there have been many of surprises on this trip, lots of shocks and eye openers. but nothing prepared me for India. India is every adjective you can think of, both good and bad. From the sounds to the smells, to the.. well you get the point. I arrived into Bombay at 4 am and went straight to the hotel I had booked. I spent a few days getting adjusted to the city and its many inhabitants. Also the Cows, there are Cows everywhere.. I choose to head inland to see some of the sights and begin my Indian adventure. First stop was the Ajunta Caves they are rock-cut cave monuments dating from the second century BC which was a great. Then I headed up to Bhopal to check out some of the ... read more

Dubai was nothing that I expected.. The first thing that hit me when I got off the plane was the heat and humidity.. I arrived around two in the afternoon and the temp was already up to 105 F and 90% humidity. I had booked a reasonable hotel before I left Jordan and when I arrived they made me wait an hour before giving me my room, I didn't even say anything and they moved me up to a suite!!!! I have to say it was a nice change from what I had been staying in it was like an apartment. I waited till the evening to venture out to see what I could in walking distance and soon found the Gold Souk. WOW!! There was over 1000 stores selling anything gold you could ever ask ... read more

I left Egypt on a hot evening and arrived in Jordan on an even hotter night. A quick word of advice to everyone: try to avoid going to the Middle East during summer time. I have no idea what I was thinking. One nice thing was the lack of tourist which made it easy to get around and really enjoy Petra in peace and quiet. I spent two days in Amman seeing the sights and researching a good tour to take to Petra (one of the new Wonders of the world) if you have never heard of it then google it or watch "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". I ended up taking a bus down the Kings Highway which ran through an assortment of Castles and monasteries and breathtaking views of the Dead Sea. After ... read more

Well, what can you say about the pyramids other then they are amazing but why stop there?? Egypt is full of sights, sounds, food and HEAT that will blow your mind. I began in Cairo and as anyone would do I headed straight to the Pyramids which were HUGE as you would expect. I spent all day there then stayed for the Sound and Light show which was a bit cheesy but amazing all the same. One of the things that surprised me was how close the Pyramids are to Cairo. In all the photos you see the desert behind them but if you look to the other side you see the city comes almost to the base of the Sphinx. After a few more days roaming around Cairo I hopped on a train to the ... read more

After a little difficulty entering Turkey I went straight to Istanbul. I had planned to move around Turkey a bit to see as much as I could but there was just so much to see in Istanbul I decided to take the time and really enjoy the city. As almost all tourists I stayed in Sultanahmet which is next to two of the most amazing Mosques I have ever seen, the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. I met up with my buddy Neil again and we spent 5 days searching the city for any-and-everything new and exciting. From Fishing on the Bosphorus to having tea in a carpet shop watching a lady work on a silk carpet that will take 3 years to complete. One of the best things was catching a ferry in the ... read more

I kind of hopped in and out of Bulgaria on my way to and from Romania. I spent 3 days in Sophia just playing tourist then I headed up to Romania for a week. On my way to Istanbul I made a stop in Vielko Tarnovo. Vielko Tarnovo is one of those places you hear through the grape vine and when you get there you end up falling in love. It's such a beautifull city and there was so much to see. Every night there was a sound and light show at the fortress which was amazing and lasted for 30 min, I just wish I could have been able to get better pictures of it. I stayed at a great little hostel and could have stayed there for weeks but after a few days I ... read more

Well Kosovo is something special let me tell you!! I had left my plans open a bit to check out the small war torn country, now that it has become its own state. I Arrived in Prishtina walked along Bill Clinton Blvd.(which is the main Road) then tried to find something touristy to do.. Well that was my first mistake, there is nothing for tourist to do there other then take photos of UN trucks(so thats what I did). I guess I should have known that before coming and I have to say it was good to see only 2 months after their independents. None-the-less I only spent 2 days there then moved right along. So here are the few photos I have of Kosovo.... read more

Monteregro I a beautiful little country wedged in between croatia, Albania and Serbia, oh and dont forget Kosovo. I entered into Montenegro via Croatia and the road was amazing you follow a mountian overlooking the Adriatic ocean. The water was so clear and green it made the best view. I stayed in the only hostel in Montenegro in a town called Budva. The people running it were amazing and even took us on a little day trip around the coast. I then spent a day in Kotor and Hiked to the top of a hill overlooking the fiord.. This was a place you could spend a month just relaxing on the beach taking in the sun.... read more

Well it was amazing.. Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the countries you say to yourself "why would I go there??" At least that's what I thought before hand. But when I arrived there I soon changed my mind. The Country is very lush and filled with mountains and rolling hills ( though you cant go hiking without a guide for fear of Landmines). Then you go to Sarajevo the Capitol, which the only thing I had ever heard about it was on CNN and it wasn't too pretty. But you walk around and its a very quaint city with the nicest people. Also its the only place in the world I have found where you can walk around the downtown and hear the "Call to Prayer" then just a few seconds later here the Church ... read more
