Australia - Sydney

a) Cheap Hotel - $20 in a dorm bed, $30 for a single room.
b) Cheap street food, prob sushi at $2 per roll.....from here your looking at hungry jacks..ugh. But for $10 you can get really good Asian food.
c) Beer - $6
d) Public transport - $2-3 dollars for a few stops...

Sydney is becoming as expensive as the UK. Some things here that are really expensive bread $4, milk $3, choc bar $2, at least petrol is cheaper at $1.50 litre (for the moment) Reply to this

The majority of Central America- sans Belize and Panama are cheap 😊

Hostel -$5-$10 (you can find them for as cheap as 2 or 3 bucks)
Beer- $1-$2 and cheaper wells are possible
Street food- $2
Bus ride across town- .65 cents

Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and some of Costa Rica are cheapie destinations.

The United States varies dramatically depending on what part of the country you're in. Generally, the cost of living on the coasts is more expensive than inland (ie: rent, groceries, fuel) but traveler amenities (hotels, admissions, restaurants) are relatively the same.

Hostel - US $15-25
Street Food - $3-5; Cheap Restaurant - $6-10 lunch, $10-15 dinner
Beer - $4-7/pint at a bar, cheaper to buy a 6-pack at a store for $6-10
Public Transport (if you can find it)- $2 city bus, taxis $2-3 + .30 mile
Car Rental - $20-40/day

Japan (prices are pretty constant across the whole nation-unless you're going somewhere off the 4 main islands)

a)Cheap Hostel: US$ 30~40
b)Street Food: US$6 (ramen-a type of noodle)
c)Bottle of Beer on bar: US$4~8
d)Public transport: US$1.50~20 (depends on the distance-you can theoretically go to a few hundred dollars) Reply to this
