I am considering China, Laos, Vietnam, Malasia and Indonisia, ive already covered quite a bit of thailand and cambodia, I know 6 weeks isnt long thats why im considering domestic flights, I do have to be in Bangkok for new yr to meet freinds, would it be best to pre-book flights or get them when im there? any advice or rough itinery would be much appreciated Reply to this

Hello Tina 😊

With the number of countries you want to visit I suggest that you only visit the capital city of each(or whichever city you fly into). If you try to do more you will just be rushing around too much.

Since you are short of time I would certainly pre book the flights.

Hi,

That's quite easy...if you fly from the States, Malaysia and Cathy have both a month pass that cover Asia. Big advantage because it's end-up cheap...big disadvantage...you have to go back to KL or HK each time...Bangkok to Saigon through HK...that doesn't make sens!

If not, with all your destination, the obvious choice is Bangkok Airways, they even have a pass where you purchase coupons. It will cover 90% of what you are looking for.

Have fun!

Overland between Thailand Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos is supposed to be easy...but I've never done it.

For the coupon, it's easy to check, as if you can have exact dates, Bangkok Airways sell one way ticket,s you just have to compare with the price of the coupons. Have fun! Peter Reply to this

Airasia reputation in Indonesia is terrible, always late, changes of flight schedule (departure time), etc.

Terrible...

If you wanna travel inside Indonesia, Garuda Airlines or Mandala Airlines is better (more expensive but much better). Reply to this
