I'm seeking travel companions for a trip into Arunachal Pradesh and possibly Nagaland (if you're interested in that area, you'll know the permit issues involved). I'll be arriving in Kolkata April 9, and heading NE a couple of days later - hopefully to catch the Assamese Bihu festival in midApril. I also intend to spend a fair bit of time in Assam (Kaziranga & Majuli etc)..and am happy to have company there too. I guess you can find more about me on my blog here. I'm not ageist, sexist or racist.......in other words I'll happily travel with almost anyone...as long as they're not the above either..😊. So if you want to see a very different bit of India, drop me a line here. Reply to this

Thanks...well to be honest I tend to travel as cheaply as possible without descending to squalor (unless its unavoidable, as sometimes happens off the beaten track), but I occasionally splurge out when it's worth it or I feel the need, or travel companions are doing the same.
I'm waiting on a reply from Nino at Donyi Hango (travel agents) with some prices according to how many people are in the group - but that's for the Arunachal Pradesh/Nagaland bit.
For the Assam section (travelling independently)- well I wouldn't want to be running over $50 a day on average, thats for sure - though I can if I have to.
I'll be in NE India for over six weeks. Permits for AP & Nagaland are 10 day limits each, so I guess I'll have plenty of time for Assam - and if I get bored (?), can always go back to Kolkata.... Reply to this
