I am planning to go to tibet in March 2008 with two of my friends, I would like to find somebody else to travel together there, especially to rent a car together and some else.

my rough schedule would be like the following:

Lhasa: Potala Palace, Jokhang Monastery, Ramoche Monastery, sera Monastey, Barkhor street, etc.
Shigatse: Lake Yamdrok tso , Tashilhungpo Monastery, Mount Qomolangma(Everest),

the above is must see places, but there may be some changes if somebody would travel with us together and have some good suggestion or excellent recommendation.

If luckily there's someone would like to go with us, please mail me at:

I was just in tibet this past october. Don't worry about finding companions now- may be a bit tough to coordinate this far in advance. When you get there, check all the message boards at the hostels and hotels for people wanting to go the same direction as you. Most people in Lhasa are planning to head to all those places, and either end up back in lhasa, or what is more popular is going down to Kathmandu. If you don't find a message to respond to, post your own. Lots of companies offering cars. We used the company at Bankoshol Hostel and I would not recommend them. If you are going on the cheap and want a hostel to stay in, I recommend the Yak Hotel- cleanest and the bathrooms don't smell as bad. Hope this helps- Tibet was one of my favorite places I have ever visited! Reply to this
