Reply to this there is a free tourism magazine at hotel...I forget what's the name of this magz but you can find the map of BeiJing on it...so if you want to go somewhere in BeiJing you can simply show your map to taxi driver (I remember that now they have "welcome to BeiJIng taxi" greeting eventough the driver can't speak english...heee...)
you can also can use the route of subways from that map...
Reply to this lol i actually have been doing something similar. that and calling my friend and have him speak to driver via cell phone. and i've heard the greetings- fuuunnny cuz it doesn't really do much for the non-chinese speaking passenger or the non-english speaking driver. and duh- of course we are in beijing! lol- it's a kick though, no?
