Nah Trang or Mui Ne

I'm coming to Vietnam on Friday for two weeks with two girlfriends, we\'re going stay down south and travel around a bit and head over to Cambodia but to start with we\'d like a bit of sun and beach action, does anyone know what the weather is like in Nah Trang at the moment, or Mui Ne beach - which would you recommend for some sun and a bit of fun?!

Can be stormy in Nha Trang around now - check weather forecast - there was a big typhoon predicted to hit yesterday - dunno if it actually did.

Mui Ne has a nice beach and is knows for huge sand dunes and water sports. the dunes generally keep the weather under control. Mui Ne is quieter.

Nha Trang has a decent city strand and probably has more of a buzz - there are also easy to get to options for eating and drinking. You can take an overnight sleeper train from Saigon or fly while the bus to Mui Ne takes 4/5 hours.

An extra possibility budget permitting is a $80 return flight to Con Dao islands or Phu Quoc island - quiet islands with lovely beaches and all the enjoyment that goes with an island holiday - they are also just a short flight from Saigon. Check my blog for info on Con Dao if interested.
