Cambodia Visa Online?

Plan to go travel to Cambodia with couple of friends, and did a google on Cambodia Visa. It links me to the eVisa page. Has anyone apply Cambodia Visa online? Just would like to hear more about it.

Yes, I used an e-Visa to enter to Cambodia last year.

It is really convenient and I heard they've launched the upgrade version this year. Very convenient and I received my e-Visa in a few hours time.

Highly recommended! Reply to this

Thanks hannah for the tips! It does look a little too simple to be true sometimes. 😊 Few hours? U just made my decision for me. Thanks so much.

Was wondering though, it being so convenient, why isn't it made compulsory to apply the Visa online? Just curious.. Reply to this

The only thing an eVisa achieves is saving a few minutes in the queue waiting for visa on arrival to be processed... but it costs more. Usually the process of getting a visa on arrival only takes 15 minutes in the airport - a little longer perhaps at a border crossing. On arrival, you can also pay $5 more and get a business class visa which will allow you multiple entries and can be renewed without leaving the country for up to 1 year. The eVisa is just a clever way for immigration to earn a few more bucks (which I don't resent)! Reply to this

Yes Chris, i noticed the price difference in the on arrival and e-visa, the only reason i'm getting the evisa is tat i'll not be visiting the embassy. Guess the extra bucks goes to this convenience, and the more i look at their site at http://evisa.mfaic.gov.kh, can see their effort in making this easy for us. Don't mind the extra bucks for a country like theirs.. 😊 Reply to this

Hi,

I just got a visa for Cambodia through Travisa. Go to the website (www.travisa.com) and select the country. You'll find the forms you need and instructions. It costs about $80. It took about 2 weeks. Painless. Good luck. Reply to this

$80???
Oh no, that is expensive. I got mine through the cambodia evisa official website with only $25. Guess what, I got my visa sent to my email within the same day. Reply to this

How much is the cambodia visa to pick up at the airport? Is it also quick and easy? I'm flying from Bangkok to Siem Reap and staying for just for a few days. Ta! Reply to this

You are welcome. If you need anything planned for your visit let me know - that is what I do! www.symbiosis-travel.com. Mostly focused on "eco" and sensitive travel. There are some interesting developments in this department with community homestays springing up in a couple of places that directly involve and benefit the local people... if you are interested in this sort of thing! Oooh, I'm actually trying to book a 3 night/4 day tour round Angkor, found a couple of agencies but some want me to fax credit card details over and I'm not at all keen on that. Waiting to hear from this tour company at the moment. http://www.angkor-cambodia.org/eng/angkor.tour.4days.html

Do you organise or can you recommend any tours like this?

Thank you. Reply to this

I've just checked out your website which looks really cool. Unfortunately the friend who I'm going to Cambodia with will not be up for any cycling. I've heard good things about the Mabul dive resort though so may be in touch when I'm nearer to that part of the journey. Thanks Chris. Reply to this

when i went to cambodia i just paid at the airport....$20 US....and in I went....got the sticker in my passport and everything, also had to pay when I left....that is my experience not sure how legal or if it is still working but hey no worries i made it in.

if you are looking for a nice place to say go to the Freedom Hotel in Siem Reap.....great ownership and my dad has been friends with the owner since the 60s, really nice genuine people, good food - AC - a pool - and they speak English!

good luck
