Hello,
The 5 week trip to Malaysia I'm planning with my boyfriend is suddenly seeming way too short! In trying to fit in all the things we want to do, I'm wondering if it's worth it to do both CH and TN, or if I could chose one over the other...Has anyone been to both of these places and has a strong opinion either way? And how long would you suggest that we stay in each/both?
Thanks
Kyla
Reply to this HI,
U can visit the whole CH in 2 or 3 days, but for TN, I would like to propose for U to have a longer time, bcause there'll be lot of things/activities for both of U there.

Reply to this I can't speak for Tamaran Negara but Cameron highlands is probably about a 2-3 night trip with an average bus time of about 5-6 hours to/from KL. Its a great place to go and chill, do some hiking and visit tea plantations. If you are looking for more of a safari/nature experience I would go with Tamaran Negara. I have heard it is preferable to bring some of your own outdoor gear ie. gators, good hiking shoes because of the muddy, insect-filled conditions.
Reply to this With 5 weeks for Malaysian trip you can easily accomodate both places!
Cameron highland can be considered for short trip. It is easily accesible from highway and regular buses/taxis are available from Kuala Lumpur. 2nights stay can give you glimpse of highlands weather, tea plantation and rest.
Taman Negara (National Park) is more on adventure and nature trip. The place is primary forestYou can have various activities at Taman Negara such as Jungle Treking, Canopy walk(world's longest),Boat ride on rapids, visit "Orang Asli" (indigenous people) villages etc.
3/4nights trips are available for Taman Negara from Kuala Lumpur, which requires +3hrs drive and then a boat ride will take you to the Park.
Hope you are able to visit both!
