Hotels in Dawei

I'm traveling to Dawei around 4-14 to 4-18 or so of this year, which coincides with the water festival. It sounds like I should book ahead of time because things book up but wanted to see if folks had anything to say regarding it. Also, any recommendations on where to stay and how to contact them? The bigger hotels are on agoda and a few other websites, but would prefer a smaller guesthouse.
