Travelling to India in Feb, some ideas and advice would be great.
Hi all,
I've just joined the forum....I'm from Ireland and travelling to India in February. My initial plan is Goa and spend some time on spiritual retreat and time at the beach, then plan to travel to New Delhi.. probably fly, travel to Rishikesh and from here try and find some trekking opportunities where I can meet up with others. My main interest in India is spiritual development, yoga etcc and trekking in the mountains. I'm not really into big cities and busy places although I know this will be somewhat unavoidable at times. So really what I am looking for is any other ideas of places to visit that may be suitable for my interests? And also train travel tips for booking etc would be great?
All replies appreciated. Thanks

Reply to this Haridwar, Tirupati, Basilica of Bom Jesus - Old Goa, Vaishno Devi temple, Ajmer, etc are the places you may plan to visit. However, luxury tourism in India with heritage tour circuit may also be good idea.
Reply to this Is it you first time in India?
I think after arriving Delhi before you go to Goa, you must visit Taj Mahal, India Gate and some other places near Delhi. You can go to Goa by road. It would be helpful for you for sightseeing. I hope you will enjoy your journey in India.
Reply to this Kumbakonam in TamilNadu has got lot of temples. If you are looking for beaches, you can check for "beaches in south India" in <snip>
