Wanting information on catching trains across india and also some good markets/must see's

After spending christmas/new years in kovalam i have 11 days to travel to Khajuraho, where i will spend a month in an ashram.

Are there good markets in/around any of these places? are they cheap? ill be shopping for mostly junk jewelry, materials and trinkets.

I want to visit rishikesh.

when you book long train rides are you able to get on/off the train?

any amazing sunrise/set locations would be much appreciated.

The good news to all international travelers is that Bhutan is planning to fully open for tourism / international Travelers from September 2022 onwards with no quarantine.
