Anybody knows the situation within the state? Heard the conflitcts still going on.

I was there about a year ago and it was fine, and pretty much empty of other travellers. I'm going back in april before it fills up again :-) Reply to this

Hi,

If you are traveling with an organized group or traveling solo or with friends and staying in Kathmandu and/or trekking in the Everest or Annapurna areas things are fine. Things have pretty much calmed down but I suggest avoiding the far western areas. Even in the East (Kangchenjunga) area things are okay.
