My friend and I are hoping to go on the Trans Siberian from east to west - any suggestions on where to stop apart from the obvious ones ?? What should we take food wise, not sure what we can buy over there? Any recommendations for hotels, not too fancy - pref en-suite but traditional if poss, not a chain-is that too much to ask for in Russia ?
Reply to this Hello Coral,
There are a couple of bloggers doing just that now. Here is one:
Trans-Siberian Journey from Beijing to Moscow
There is another, I cannot seem to find them at present, but they are are splitting their journey over several blogs instead of in one. When I find it, I'll post here.
Reply to this Beata and Tomek did it recently. They put it in several blogs but here is a
summary one.
Michael and Faye did it last year with their kids. This is one of the
blogs from their trip.
This question tends to be addressed in the
Over land and Sea forum. You can find more questions about it there.
