Hi guys,
I'm wanting some advice on what to do in Chengdu. I really want to go and see Pandas but where is best. I've heard Wolong but can you see them wild here (as unlikely as it is)? What else is there to do in Chengdu and about other than eat Sichuan cuisine.

Reply to this Of course it'll be your best choice to go and see Pandas in Wolong. You can see them semi-wild there, cause the Pandas live on the hill but are fenced up from tourists.
In addition to see Pandas and eat Sichuan cuisine, you can also go to China Lane(says "Kuan Zhai Xiang" in Chinese), Du Fu's Thatched Cottage, Sichuang Opera Face Change.
Reply to this Hi, Ross, indeed Pandas in Chengdu is a must-go destination for your China tour since Chengdu is the natural habitat of cute giant pandas. Wolong Panda Breeding Research Center has been created and imitated the pandas' natural habitat so you can take a look at them semi-wide there. You can also take photos with both baby pandas and adult pandas by holding them. But fees are needed if you are interested in holding pandas and taking pictures with them. The exact time for pandas holding is from 9:50am to 11:00am and from 2:30 to 4:00pm every day.
Apart from panda center, there are also myraids of places of interests in Chengdu waiting for your visit such as Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, Leshan Giant Buddha,Mt.Emei, Dujiangyan Irrigation System and Wuhou Memorial Temple and etc. Maybe you need to find a professionaltourism agency to help you make your itinerary so that you can assure yourself of relative tourist information you need. Hope that it will be helpful.
