13 years ago, March 13th 2011 No: 1 Msg: #131000
hi guys
im new to this site, so hello to everyone!
my names jack, im 21 from the south west of England,
i plan to visit India in the next 4-5 weeks for around 6-8months.
i want a full Indian experience, but also want India to bring the best out of me creatively.
i play guitar and sing and really want to get away from the distractions of fast consumerism and learn about how people really are, and translate that into something really beautiful.
i honestly don't even know where to start, i know that temperature is a big factor in this decision.
that's about all i know.
ide love to hear some of you guys recommendations and ideas.
jack

hey you can visit Kerala where in the backwaters you can get the chance to stay away from the maddening crowd of busy cities and get the atmosphere to practice your music. <snip>

You'll probably want to hang in the north a bit I'd think, over summer especially. Probably the most chilled place I visited was Kasar Devi (Uttarakhand) - check it out. Reply to this

Hi Jack,
Deepak is right Uttrakhand will be the best place for you to go & Naukuchiatal or ‘lake of nine corners’ is known for its tranquillity and for the orchards and dense jungles that surround it. The lake is fed by an underground perennial spring. This lake boasts of a good walking track around the lake, apart from boating and angling. One could also take off on a trek in the neighbouring hillside.
Location - 4 kms from Bhimtal, the lake is 175 feet deep surrounded by lush green hills
Distance - 26 kms from Nainital, 320 kms from Delhi
Weather - Summer: 11 C-26 C Winter:2 C-14 C.

Cheers,
Ashu
