I'll be in the Triangle area of India in February, 2011 and would like to go to the animal reserve where I might most likely see tigers and other animals. What are the advantages of several and why would you recommend them? Reply to this

Hi Suzie,

Since you'd be at Jaipur, the closet santury is Ranthambore. Its about 180 km from Jaipur and covers an area of 392 km², and is known for its tiger population. Other major wild animals include leopard, nilgai, dhole, wild boar, sambar, hyena, sloth bear and chital.

Also, tiger sighting is not very easy, much simpler to see deers and sambars here.

Also from Delhi, you can visit Jim Corbett National Park which is situated in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Its an overnite journey by train from Delhi or 6 hours if you drive in a private car. This time of the year it has migaratory birds over and above the usual animals sighted here.

Hope this helps! Reply to this
