Hi Boys & Girls some advice needed please.
Me and my girlfriend are starting our travels in asia in Feburary and we would just like some advice on what would be the best route to take.
We have 3 months to get from Bangkok to Singapore, taking in Thailand,Laos,Cambodia, Vietnam and maybe Malaysia.
Our planned route is Bangkok to Chiang mai cross into Laos then work our way down Vietnam cross into Cambodia then back into Thailand and down into Malaysia.
Does route seem ok and possible in our time scale??
Any places or sights not to miss on the way?

Reply to this Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang, then you head south to Vientiane. There will be 2 options, you go further south to Savannakhet and get into central Vietnam at Lao Bao (on the way to Dong Ha - Hue). Or you will fly Vientiane - Hanoi and head south from here.
13 February 2010 will be Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday in Vietnam and it will take about a week. Shops close and you may find more difficult to move around since most people take holiday.
