Hi Chris

There are plenty of cheap beach huts on all the islands in Thailand. However, the basic style of this type of resort means that they usually don't have websites and don't do advance bookings. I guess the cost of updating the website would then have to go on to the cost of the huts! When you arrive on an island you can take a hut for the night (there are usually touts on boats and at the ports who can show you some) and then explore and negotiate a good price for a week or more with one you like.

Have you looked at travel fish ? It's got listings for a lot of accommodation around SE Asia. There is also plenty of information in the obvious guidebooks.

Singapore is slightly different, as it isn't a beach resport, it's mainly a city. There accommodation tends to be in backpacker hostels where you rent a bed in a dorm room. Singapore is more expensive than Thailand by far.

Have fun.
