This website is really only for travelers to Japan, but finding out times of shinkansen and other trains in Japan is always helpful to know when you actually need to be awake before heading out.

For Traveling Thailand by land such as (buses,train) I have tried using a startup and mobile app http://12go.asia
It is basically an e-ticketing system which gives further Information about the place your traveling to ( station,distance,travel time,point of interest and short history) totally an all-in-one travel hack! check it out guys, Bon voyage!
