Captive animals in Asia

How many caged animals have you come across at roadside stops during your bus trips throughout Asia and/or other continents. Are these there for the tourists? If that's the case, I don't think they really work in boosting the popularity of these establishments. I certainly haven't gone back to a roadside restaurant because of its five caged primates. I thought monkeys were regarded as sacred animals? How do you feel about passing a captive monkey on your way to the loo? Reply to this
