Hi, need some advice re: malaria tablets..
having spent a small fortune on vaccinations before i start my trip round asia, i would be grateful for some advice regarding malaria tablets. I have heard that it may be easier to get hold of them in Bangkok over the counter (in Boots!) rather than get a prescription here..
anyone done this? is it cheaper/is it the same stuff?
I'm going to Laos, Cambodia & Vietnam which i hear i need malaria tablets for..

You can have them in any pharmacy, no need to have a prescription. I guee they will even be cheaper.
I've been living in the region for 14 years....it's all depend where you go, but for most places, you simply don't need the tablets.

Reply to this I agree most places unless you are going into the deep bush "no need"in Asia. in the cites you are more likely to get Denuge then Malaria. I have never met anyone in Aisa that has had Malaria.
