Bloggers from the Blogger of the Week nominations thread, who have become overqualified to be the Blogger of the Week. :)
I nominate
Debtravel
Love her chatty and interesting blogs, but dont know if there will be more. Hopefully, there will!

John and Sylvia. Great adventures! It is a real pity they don't have blogs and photos from their early travels in the 60s and 70s, but at least they have great stories to tell about these, on the forums. 😊
Reply to this Debbie now has 4 recommends. This should get her future blogs on the Front Page. Congratulation Debbie! 😊
Reply to this I nominate this couple of 20 somethings(well that is how old they look in the photos) who are taking an early retirement.

Reply to this Isaiah now has 3 recommends. 😊 Congratulations to him!
Reply to this Isaiah had 3 recommends beforehand, does he not count as a nomination this week?
J.
Reply to this No, because when a person has 3 nominations, their blogs already get on the Front Page, so we dont need to promote them. 😊
Reply to this Hi Mell
How do you get rated/voted/nominated if your blogs are infrequent or old?
Thanks
Reply to this Hi, Sally and Nick,
The secret to getting more exposure for your blog, and therefore a better chance of being recommended, is to contribute as much as possibe to TravelBlog. Use the forums to chat about the topics that catch your attention, and some readers may enjoy your posts and click on your blog (I did!). Read some blogs, comment on them, and add some bloggers of your own as recommendations. It won't guarantee that you'll be noticed, but it will give you a better chance.

brilliant trip from kenya to cape town - some of the best panorama shots i have seen on travelblog - am sure this journey is a contender for the 2009 trip/blog for africa and the photogrpahs are also excellent
going to start reading the india/nepal trip now which i am sure will be equally as good
Reply to this SmithyWorldWide is a brilliant writer, Muno, but he is not exactly unknown with 8 recommendations. I enjoyed reading his blogs as well. But we'd like to discover some good, entertaining bloggers who have not reached 3 recommendations yet. (It takes 3 to get on the front page). If you've read any of these yet unknown bloggers, share them with us!

First stab at recommending and got it wrong!
I don't think I found him on the front page though and am still a bit unsure about recommendations - didn't know he already had a few.
Will hunt out some more and post those here.
Sorry
Reply to this Hello Sally and Nick. 😊
Yes, Jon is right. There are now so many bloggers on TravelBlog, that those who want to be on the Front Page need to do a lot more to get noticed. Chatting on the forums, commenting on blogs....
There are a lot of good bloggers who deserve to be on the Front Page, but that hasnt yet happened, because they havent come to the attention of enough people yet.
Another way is to write about topics and countries that get attention. ie Blogs about countries that are heavily in the news often get a log of attention.
You can also nominate youirself on this thread. If somebody wants to get their blogs on the Front Page nominating themselves may prompt others to look at your blog and maybe add another nomination.

A great set of blogs with lovely photos. They would look great on the Front Page. 😊
Reply to this You now have 2 recommends Muno. Just one more will get your future blogs on the Front Page. So, keep up the good work with getting yourself noticed.
The photos that appear at the top of the Front Page are the highest rated ones. When your blogs are on the Front Page this will also increase the number of hits your photos get, which will likely cause them to get more ratings. 😊
