Travelling to Pakistan !

Hey bloggers...
My name is Nakul and Im an Indian citizen. I was to travel Pakistan this september as a cultural envoy for an international students organisation. I have received the necessary documents from there and just have to apply for visa at the pakistan embassy here in Delhi.
Though I have been getting constant 'suggestions'/'warnings' from lots of people that a pakistani visa is not exactly soothing to a lot of western nations , US and UK in particular. Being an Indian puts me at a higher risk following reports of unnecessary harassment at US airports and several news of 'a bare minimum of strip search for south asians'. Moreover, getting a US visa may not be easy thereafter. This has forced me to think about the visit.
I have the utmost respect for Pakistan as a nation and as a land of myriad cultures. The security situation over there is not an issue for me... just the passport thing is worrying me. Its just that my folks are raising these issues.

What are your views/sugestions on it.?
