Hi,

Myself and a friend will be in India for 6 weeks from the 20th July - 3rd September. We are flying into Mumbai, we have no itinerary at present so are open to suggestions!! We want to travel up to Delhi (and surrounding areas) and down to Goa. We are hoping spend a few days relaxing at the beach but aren\\\'t sure whether it would be best to head to Goa at the beginning of our trip or the end??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Hi Charlotte,

If you are reaching India in July, please be prepared for rains all over. I would suggest traveling to North first - you can visit Delhi - Haridwar - Rishikesh - Rajasthan - Agra etc first. Rajasthan will be comparatively dry, so you can enjoy traveling there.

Keep your trip to Goa for the last week, as all beach shacks are closed till end of August. Some of them open up by last week of August, so if you are there by Sept, then you can have a fun beach trip.

You can also travel to Kerla, Pondicherry etc, but it rains erratic in all these places. Is dry and sunny for hours and then for 1-2 hours you'd have non stop heavy downpour. But the places are worth visiting.

Do let me know if you need any other details - would be glad to be of any help. Reply to this
