Buying a ticket into Bali and out of Kuala Lumpur.
I am preparing my two week vacation. I am going to fly into Bali and stay basically until I feel like moving on. Once there I'll book a flight on Air Asia and fly to Kuala Lumpur. I don't want to book that flight just yet because I'd like to spend whatever time in Bali I feel is good. And then I'll make my way to Singapore and catch a flight home.
My issue is this - I understand that as a US citizen, I can get a visa on arrival at Bali. But when I arrive, I won't have a ticket out of Bali/Indonesia - I'll have one out of Singapore to show customs. Is this going to present a problem?

I was there a few years ago and had no problem entering the country like you plan to do. It is very common for travellers to enter Indo through Bali and leave overland to Malaysia, or the other way around. Hope this helps!

Reply to this Hi,
That is ok as long as you have flight out form Indonesia/ Bali. You dont need return flight just have flight out form Bali is ok
Reply to this In theory you need to have a flight ticket out of the country but they rarely ask to see it. That said if you don't have a ticket out of the country and they do check its probably because the guy stamping your passport is looking for a chance to shake you down for a few dollars...
Reply to this Another update... i am in Bali now (again) and i entered the island without an outward ticket. I just purchased one a week ago....no problem at all, no questions asked.
