East or West Coast in Monsoon

We are travelling to Malaysia for 5 days from 21st January- we love the sound of the east coast but is this out of the question in monsoon?

Ideally we are looking for a tour of the jungle and a few days at a good beach- any advice welcome! Reply to this

Hi Molly,

Your travel dates may just set you on a wet vacation in Malaysia. Over here in Sabah, the rain is quite unpredictable. Unless you're fine with getting wet, then it shouldn't be much of an issue. However, if the rain picks up, most of the tours may be rescheduled, especially for jungle river cruises - this means it may just alter your travel dates to a longer schedule.

Apart from outdoor activities such as beach, you can consider staying indoors for shopping on handicrafts or just scroll around and experience the warmth hospitality of what Sabah has to offer.

Thanks- not sure if we can make it across to Sabah, which sounds beautiful, maybe another time!
