I am Russian, but I love Indian music.
If you are white and you don't speak Hindi, do you listen to Indian music? Who are your favorite artists?

Reply to this My favourite musician is Nitin Sawhney, who is a British Indian composer and producer. All of his albums are incredible, and I'd recommend his songs, like "Sunset", "Nostalgia" and "Mausam", to everyone.

Reply to this I love any of the soundtracks from good Bollywood films. A.R.Rahman and Anu Malik are great composers. My favourite singers are Sonu Nigam and Udit Narayan.
Best Hindi pop in my opinion are the soundtracks from Kisna: The Warrior Poet, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham..., Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om (incidently they are all great films too!)
Bhangra artists like Jasbir Jasse and Ashok Maste are good too.
Reply to this I live in Tamilnadu and I would suggest you to listen the Tamil movie songs of Maestro Ilayaraja. His songs are unique and are sweeter than anyone I have heard sofar in any language. You may find them on the net. good luck
