Hello Bobby 😊

Are you going to be in Bangkok? If so, the Vietnamese consulate there can issue you a tourist visa in 24 hours.

It is not possible to get a visa at the border from Cambodia into Vietnam. As Mell says, it's easy to get one in Bangkok. We chose the 24 hour option but if you're in Bangkok longer you can do it cheaper if you get it over a few days.

Enjoy it, the area is fantastic. Reply to this

If you cross the border overland, you cannot get visa at border. This kind of visa is only valid for those traveling by air. I think you should get a visa code to pick up visa at VN consulate there. This is easy and simple. Last time I applied through this site www.vietnam-visa.com , and informed them our local VN Embassy to pick up visa. The code would come after 2 days. And getting visa at consulate by showing this code + passport + photos. Very quick! Just try it! 😊 Reply to this

Hello Renee 😊 I heard that you can tell the consulate when you are going to Vietnam and they will issue the visa for the date you want.

I was doing a little research and all the e-visa sites for Vietnam are for profit and not associated with the Vietnamese government to my knowledge. I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, but prudence is in order. We ended up going to the Vietnamese consulate to be safe (and cheapest). Reply to this
