Best way to get into Bali from Singapore.
Hello! What is the best/fastest way to get into Bali from Singapore? I'm guessing it's by air, would you have any recommendations of airlines to use? Is it a better idea to fly into Djakarta and take a bus to Bali? I would love any advice you could offer!
Reply to this Hi there, probably some airline like airasia, tiger airways, lion airways ot jet airways. only thing is some places might not fly from bali straight, you might need go to Jakarta first. let me know if this helps.
Reply to this hey dude.bali sinapore with airasia is about £50 pp each way including tax.its also the same price to go KL which is alot further.iv been looking my self recently and it also seem that the price isnt affected buy when you book.ie the day before you travel is the same as if you booked 4 weeks in advance.you may find cheaper than that.let me no if you do pls as ill be heading there in feb09. bobby.
Reply to this Hey, thanks for the input! I haven't been able to find a flight with asia air for my specific travel dates but lion air has some good fares. Singapore airlines had a lot of direct flights available into Densapar but they're double the cost of asia air and lion air. The best price I've found is $110 for a direct flight with Lion air.

Reply to this I also found an airline called Garuda, heard anything about them? You can't book online but it looks like they've got inexpensive fares and lots of flights throughout Indonesia.
Reply to this There are lots of flights heading that way. A long, long time ago I used Garuda to fly to Bali from the US, they were okay. Keep in mind that some of the discount airlines have baggage weight allowances that may be different than the airline you used to get to Singapore. If you exceed their allowance you pay for being "overweight."
My preference is Singapore Airlines even if they cost a little more.

Reply to this Garuda are Indonesia's main airline and compared to other airlines flying domestically in Indonesia- Garuda are the most expensive.
Garuda also fly internationally and on many occaisions I have flown from Sydney Australia into Bali or Jakarta.
