Which do you prefer and why?

I would have to say that train travel is more exciting and less stressful. On the train you can see so many things that are missed when flying or driving. If you are in a hurry though jump on a plane.
In california prop 1A just passed allowing the building of a high speed train from Sacramento to San Diego and many places in between, I think this will be a great improvement to California's transportation system. http://www.cahighspeedrail.ca.gov/map.htm Reply to this

I look forward to seeing the high speed railway being built in California. I've been following it, now, for the last year or so.

I commute to Fresno from the LA area for family and the current train ride there is just not worth it, half is bus and half is train, you spend more time then if you were to travel by car. I will definitately use the new train for
quick trips up to San Francisco and northern California. Reply to this

I would love to take the train everywhere...if only the USA had the damned SENSE to reopen the great American rails! I never want to fly again. I'd rather travel on the ground for a few days with my own bed and a diner car than go thousands of feet in the air in a crowded aluminum can with surly employees, drunken pilots and no food.

Nothing compares to train travel. I'd love to see the industry introduce alternatives to Amtrak. Look how well luxury cruise lines have done. Add a little old-fashioned elegance and the train business would flourish once again. I doubt I'm the only person who feels this way. Make it animal-friendly, and you'd have a land-office business.

I traveled around the world for years using planes and trains whatever was most convenient or cheapest! I made a website that compares journeys by plane and train. While the connection to the airport is also considered it provides a fair comparison of your travel options.

In think in Europe it really depends on the distance. On shorter distances trains are often cheaper and faster (also depending if there is a high speed connection). You can check it out on: www.airjag.com Reply to this

I would prefer to travel by plane whenever possible but of course it depends on the prices and the duration of the flight. If it takes more than several hours, then flight is not so comfortable but if the flight takes more than several hours, don want to think about how long will it take by train.
It also depends on where you are going. If you go for a vacation, train is a good option for going and maybe taking a flight back home will be better as you will most probably start working soon 😊 Reply to this

I prefer to Train...... to travel because of following reasons. If you have lot of time to travel.
1.More security in trains then airplane
2.By reservation take long travel ticket and full comfort to us.
3.Natural scenery to see and get the fun of it.
4.and almost cheaper than airplane.
5.Train is much safer and no harassment.
6.no chance of survive if accident take place.

According to my opinion train should be prefer to travel. Reply to this
