Important information on Vang Vieng LAOS. There is a gang association by THA VI SOUK Resort intending to fool the walk in travelers not to go to other hotels or other resorts that they book in or wanting to stay at.
The Tha Vi Souk Resort will have their touks touks around town to give the wrong information to the travelers or to take the travelers to their resort at Tha Vi Souk Resort by lying to the travelers that the other hotels or resorts are full and they are the same family or cousins to the other hotels and resorts, esp to the other resort with similar name; Thavonsouk Resort. We were confused ourselves, as the touk touk took us to the Tha vi souk, but we wanted to stay at Thavonsouk not Tha vi souk.
We notice that this is not a very healthy situation for both the local hotels & resorts as well as to the travelers themselves. Therefore, we are informing this to help people to get to where they really wanna stay at and book at.

Thanks for your advise. Those kind of people are around the wrold. I remmber in my trip fom BKK to Siem Riep, how they tried to fool us by stopping before the border (around 5KM) and asking us to pay for the VISA to enter Cambodia, and that the VISA has been increased. After crossing the border they asked us to convert the cash in thier Money Exchanger by giving less amount and telling us in Cambodia they dont accept Thai Bhat or USD !! I didnt listen to them in all the cases, hehe.
All the travel agencies in Khosan Road in Thai dealing with the same Gangster!
