Thailand jungle trek - is this the way to see the 'real' Thailand?

I've signed-up to do a charity trek into the Thailand jungle next March as I want to see Thailand without all the tourists

I've been trying to think of a different way to see Asia and in particular Thailand and have decided to join a charity trek into the Thailand jungle for the charity Breakthrough.

Has anyone else done anything like this before? Do you think this is a good way to see the 'real' Thailand away from all the tourists and tourist traps? I'm really excited about this trek and think it will be a really unique experience ..... Reply to this

Hello, I wanted to see the 'real' Asia as well, so instead of jungle trekking in Thailand we got a cheap flight with Air Asia to Borneo and went to Bako park for the full jungle experience. It was the best time ever!!!😊 Reply to this

If you have more time, you can get a bus traveling through Laos - Thai and Cambodia Reply to this
