Hello Anu 😊

I am not certain, but I dont think the busses leave at all times of the night. If your flight lands at 7PM it will likely be after midnight by the time you get to the bus station. It may be better if you spend your first night on the Khao San Road or someplace else in Bangkok.

You can get a guesthouse room for as little as 3 Euros on or near the Khao San road. If you still have the energy after you get there you could have a drink at one of the many bars that backpackers frequent there. Then you could go up and down the river on the passenger boat the next day for around 50 cents to get all the way up or down. It makes quite good sight seeing. You could have quite a good night and day in Bangkok for very little money. Then in the evening you could take the night bus to Phukett. Reply to this

You have a at least a 12 hour bus ride too!

A Google check gives you some suggestions. I used up some frequent flier miles and flew there. I had taken the van/bus ride to Hat Yai a few years before on the way to Penang and I didn't care for the long ride. You can also take a train part of the way and continue to Phuket by bus. You may be able to get the sleeper car for a little more comfort.

Flights to Phuket are pretty cheap compared to Europe or America. If your time is limited then you ought to fly.

You can even get a tan in Bangkok too! Perhaps you could go to a beach closer to Bangkok and save money??

Good luck. Reply to this

If you are planning to fly then maybe the thing to do would be to try to get a flight on the night you arrive in Bangkok.

The domestic airport is just a not too long shuttle bus ride away from the international airport and it(the shuttle bus) is free of charge.

The immigration queue when you arrive at the international airport can be long but you could ask the people in front of you if you can go before them because you have a flight to catch. The shuttle busses go very frequently from outside the international airport. In fact there might be one constantly about to leave. Reply to this

If you haven't already booked flights, the best (and well known!) budget carriers is air asia,

www.airasia.com

Ko phi Phi is only accesable by boat, about 1 1/2 hour from Phuket Town to the island, depending on the season, fuylly recommend pre booking accomadation, maybe try asiarooms.com

enjoy Thailand! Reply to this
