about altitude sickness in leh,india

travelling with family by air from delhi to leh.india.

i wnt to know it is advisable to go direct from delhi to leh by air and then to shimla by road.or shimla to leh by car and then leh to delhi by flight. iam with travelling with 2 kids. pl. sugest.

I don't know the altitude of Shimla, but as a rule you would go the the lowest altitude place first. This will minimise the risk of altitude sickness and give your bodies time to adjust.

Also, give yourself at least a day to relax once you get there.

I went directly to Leh, and didn't meet anyone who had problems with altitude sickness after a day of rest. Reply to this
