I did Annapurna, probably the most popular trek. I'm not particularly fit and did it in 21 days, which seems to be about the norm, although my guide said he did it in 9 days once!
You can do this one pretty cheaply. I paid $35 a day for a whole package -- transport, food, guide, porter, accommodation, clothing, water etc. I just had to pay for my beer.
You can do it for about a third of that if you want to carry your own gear, have your own cold weather stuff, and stay in cheaper hotels. (Our guide got us into the best hotel at each stop.)
There are countless shorter 3-5 day treks, but the same principles apply: doing it yourself is the cheapest way. Also, don't both buying anything except walking boots before you get to Kathmandu because you can get really cheap ripoff stuff there if you need it. It ain't great quality, but it lasts for a few months!

Reply to this For 3-5 days, there's no point really in lugging boots along if you have decent walking shoes. The only exception would be if you are going trekking through snow in winter.
Reply to this Hello,
Are you trying doing expensive trek or good trek .if you trying to do expensive trek any one or any company can charge you moor, but if you looking for good trek then book with individual trekking guide.
Because the guide knows about trekking everything better than any company.

Reply to this Try the Poon Hill trek. It's about 3-5 days and goes from Pochara.
