What's the best beach in the Philippines?

There's also Canigao Island on the province of Matalom, Southern Leyte. I heard it's a nice island, only 15mins by pump boat from Matalom. I'm heading there this year, should be fun. ^_^

There's also Higatangan Island on the province of Biliran (2 hours drive from Tacloban City, Leyte) - their popular attraction is the shifting sand bar... I've read that snorkling is good there.

As for surfing, there's Calicoan, Eastern Samar. http://gerryruiz.wordpress.com/2007/10/08/calicoan-surfing-crown-07/

I would highly recommend you to visit Camiguin Island in Mindanao, lots of beaches to choose from, check Kebila White beach, its cheap to go there and the place is so peaceful and not to crowded. You can also snorkel there and see the Giant Clams there, manage by DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resourses). People and the management are nice, been there a lot of time and can't wait to go back there maybe on summer 😊.

Well, if you want to visit Philippines you might want to check hotels and inn to stay:

Hope this helps! Have a nice trip and God bless! 😊

El Nido ! absolutely stunning beaches around the whole bay of El Nido, huge limestone cliffs and perfect white sand beaches and very few people on them. Reply to this

Those are all great beaches suggested! I would also like to add on to the list. Has anyone been to Dinagat Islands? Aside from it's great white sandy beaches, this place never fails to take your breath away with it's views of it's natural wonders! Reply to this

Sarangani has a good place to offer and still pristine. One of the best beaches isGumasa
Another one is the Britania Group of Islands in Surigao del Sur ...You'll surely never forget your experience there ... Reply to this

El Nido !!

We absolutely loved it there. The surrounding islands are stunning. Hardly any tourists, amazing diving, beautiful limestone karsts, and a peaceful atmosphere. We'd recommend finding yourself a private island to camp out on for a night or two.

I would suggest you go to Honda Bay Island in Palawan. Each island at Honda Bay offers different enchanment; Snake Island is best for snorkeling, swimming or simply basking in the sand. Pandan Island, Starfish Island and Pambato Reef are all great for swimming and snorkeling. Reply to this

I deliberately reserved my comments here until after I visited El Nido in Palawan. Visited 10 islands there but what I liked best is the twin beaches of Nacpan and Calitang, an hour's drive from the El Nido town proper.
Felt like we owned the beach for a day!

Having been to all the mentioned beaches, my number one would definitly El Nido in Palawan. Great surroundings, affordable lodging, good diving, fresh food and not to many tourists yet... Reply to this

El Nido is very beautiful and a really amazing place to stay, but the lodging is now not so cheap. We found it more expensive than most places in the Philippines - $25 a night for a small room with en suite bathroom and air con, in the town, not on the beach. It has also been 'discovered' by tourists now. We were there at Lunar New Year and the town was full - no accommodation anywhere. Reply to this

If you want great beaches, there is no wrong place to go to in the Philippines really. Boracay is great, so is El Nido and any other beach that is far away enough from Manila and Cebu. Reply to this
