Am thinking of travelling from Leh to Srinagar in Kashmir tomorrow. I heard that it's safe now. Is anyone there now?

Kashmir was always safe. Tourists were banned from visiting some time ago was a precaution. Leh is the highest plateau in the world. On reaching Leh you have to take rest for a day before venturing out. Or else you might find it difficult to breathe. One can hire motor bikes (unfortunately bad ones) to drive around. There are also packages from Jammu Kashmir Tourist Department of the Govt. of India.
