IS IT SAFE TO TRAVEL TO THAILAND

Myself, my sister and our daughters are due to travel to Bangkok in two weeks time. We are visiting family in Bangkok then hope to travel to Phuket, Koh Samui and Koh Samed while we're there for three and a half weeks. Is it safe to go and will the unrest there calm down?

Really unsure as to what to do for the best. Could we expect problems and if so, what kind of problems? Reply to this

Hi June,

I live in Thailand (I'm English) and was here at the time of the coup 2 years ago too. On a day to day basis you don't see any evidence of the problems except on TV. Just don't go anywhere near where the actual demos are and you'll be fine. The airports were closed for a while but are all back up and running now. Reply to this
