Hi Kerouac,
Re; ATM's. For the last 4 trips I have used only ATM's. I put the MasterCard into credit and WDL the cash as needed. I usually take 2 -3 different cards and keep them separate. As in the past..... Shall we say I had a karma clearing day and got pickpocketted! I feel they were after the cash not the card. Not sure how you feel about banking online but this makes it easy to juggle funds around if needed.

On the 20th of July you wrote that you were going for yoga... Since 2000 I have been blessed and been able to go to Riski for yoga. To study and also teach. I will admit that I am 'brain washed"... & study/teach Iyengar Yoga. Do you currently practice? Do you know where or with whom you will study with?
If it is Iyengar classes you are after, here are a couple of links:

http://www.iyengaryoga.in/

This one is in Derha Dun (Dehradoon) & have done Iyengar yoga B4. Not on the tourist trail. A complete contrast to Rishi, in a small village 1/2hr out of Derha Dun on the way to Mussoorie, called Old Rajpur. If you see a westerners in the street...... 95% they are doing the yoga with you.

Shanti Café near the taxi/rickshaw stand (Ram Jula) after class is a good place to catch up with fellow ‘brain washed’ Iyengar yogi bears. Also ‘The Office’ serves a great apple samosa and chai. It’s the blue chai shop on the right. Just past Hill Top Restaurant. Last year he was doing some renovations… is it still blue?? Not sure!! ).

I try to remember that EVERTHING IS AS IT SHOLUD BE! Even on the karma clearing days.

Have a great trip.
