New Years Eve/Day

Public Holidays in Thailand/Malaysia etc
15 years ago, May 21st 2008 No: 1 Msg: #35964
Hi,

It's recently come to my attention that most countries in Asia have public holidays for New Years eve/New Years day. Ie 31st Dec and 1 Jan.

I am expecting to be in either Thailand or Malaysia for those dates.

Should I expect a lot of places to be shut as they are in England and accomodation/restaurants etc to be a lot more money as they in England also?

Many thanks,
