Atsikeliu 6 ryto, šiandien noriu dviračiu važiuoti iki urvo su stalaktitais ir stalagmitais kuris yra maždaug už 20 km. Nors, kelionių agentūros darbuotojai ir nerekomenduoja važiuoti dviračiu iki ten, dėl prasto kelio ir karštos saulės. Ekskursiją nusipirkau vakar. Čia visos kelionės, turai ir pramogos parduodamos tik per kelionių agentūras, tad nuvažiavęs į vietą be kupono, paprasčiausiai nebūsi įleistas. Tad nusiperku ekskursiją 8 valandai ryto, nes iš ryto sako ,akd urvas geriau apšviestas. Taigi papusryčiavęs sėdu ant dviračio ir minu iki urvo. Dviratis kaip labai greitai paaiškėja niekam tikęs. Man jis gerokai permažas, sėdynė vis nulinksta žemyn, tad negaliu normaliai atsisėsti, o ir bėgių perjungėjas neveikia, tad važiuoju vienu bėgiu. Williamas į darbą išeina apie 6.30 ryto, tad kai atsikeliu jo jis jau būna išėjęs. bet jis vakar minėjo, kad viena draugė turi ateitia šiandien sutvarkyti jo namų, mat ji jaučiasi skolinga jog Williamas padėjo jai kai ji sirgo. Tad ateina jie iš ryto kartu, apie 8.30. Aš tuo laiku jau atsikėlęs ir papusryčiavęs. Iš ryto apžiūriu miestelį, kuris visai nedidelis. Po pietų susitinku su vokiečių porele kurie jau turi nusipirkę ekskursiją paplaukioti upėje su akvalangu. Prie jų prisijungiu ir aš. Tai pati pigiausia tokio tipo ekskursija mieste, bet ir tai poros valandų pasiplaukiojimas kainuoja beveik 90 litų plius taksi, dar apie 30 litų. Nepigus malonumas. Nuvažiuojam iki upės, ten gaunam maskes, hidrokostiumus, gelbėjimosi liemenes. Šioks toks įvadinis gido žodis, kurio esmė kuo mažiau visko liesti, kad kuo mažiau įtakoti gamtą. De volgende dag gaan we op safari: eerst met een auto en vervolgens te voet. Vanuit de auto spotten we capybara’s, kaaimannen en een grote hagedis. Als we een riviertje oversteken, zien we twee reuzenotters. Op het eerste gezicht vinden we ze er best lief uitzien, maar daar komt al snel verandering in wanneer we ze vol smaak een kaaiman op zien peuzelen. Met hun grote, scherpe tanden, die blikkeren in de zon, trekken ze vol kracht stukken kaaiman af. Wannneer ze vervolgens op de kant kruipen, is goed te zien dat we hier niet te maken hebben met een lief, onschuldig ottertje uit de Biesbosch: de beesten zijn enorm! Another 7.00 am breakfast and we all piled into the tiered jeep for a five-minute drive (which the day before we had walked 20 minutes to for the canoe trip) to the boat jetty. We got on to a pontoon with a planked floor bolted across with a wooden ladder to an upper level held up on metal stilts. Some of us climbed to the upper level. Plastic garden chairs were available on each level. The guide started the motor and we chugged very slowly through the fields of plants and water hyacinths in the opposite direction to that taken on the canoes, the boat totally obliterating any sign that we were actually in water until it cleared a watery trail through the middle. We picked a guide up on the way who would be with us at the Fazenda (farm). We arrived around noon. We were originally allocated a four-bed room shared with the other couple but after a chat with Dave and Ivan, we managed to get our own room. Lunch on arrival was a large buffet with two different cuts of beef being sliced up. Salads and rice, a bean stew with rice pudding and fruits for dessert. Following lunch,we were given a talk in an Auditorium/lecture hall by one of the people on the farm about the flora and fauna and importance of the animals in the overall ecosystem.
