Well, Autumn is in full swing and I just got back from my tour of the north part of the South Island. Had a splendid time. Things kicked off with a few days in Christchurch. It was absolutely freezing when we got there. Actually, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it was cold, too cold. First night there I had to stay at some hostel that was a thirty minute walk from the city centre. Bogus. Slept on a couch and it was probably just as warm outside than inside. That week there was a break from school, so everyone and their mother was in Christchurch and all the hostels were full as. Next day things got a little better when I was able to score a bed in the place I wanted to be.
