Hey!!! well Bigg John I'm glad you enjoy the NON videos lol! And I forgot to put the pics up with the last blog so here are a few! It is raining real bad today! I worked at the cafe and it was SO slow! And tonight I am making Mark a big steak dinner!! Steak, roasted potatoes and corn on the cob! Yummmm!) Then I think we will watch a movie and relax due to the rain :S And I am still trying to upload the videos but maybe I will have to make shorter ones and show you the house in parts :S ... read more

I had to work so I think I get paid time and a half! So I went out last night with Mark's friend Greg's girlfriend Jess and her sister Jenn. It ... read more

Hello! So I had my first moment the other day while I was driving home from work, just enjoying the view of the mountain and the ocean and then it hit me that I LIVE HERE lol. It sort of has just felt like an extended holiday up until now. I think that New Plymouth is just a beautiful place to live! Mark and I took a drive on our way home from Oakura and took a look at Tapuae. Someone has bought a bunch of property and divided it into 30 lots...so Tapuae is sort of a small subdivision, and they have a pond/lake with tennis courts and a large veg garden/nursery and a nice walking pth etc. Here is their website if you want to check it out! http://www.tapuaecountryestate.com/home We chose #28, with an ... read more

Hi!!! So work has been good the past few days, got paid...but still can't figure out how much I am making because I got paid cash (I hadn't gotten my bank info in to them in time) and they apparently didn't have my hours written down for last Saturday (or so I think?) and so I got paid for just two days and it was more than expected!!! Unless I did get paid for Saturday...lol I DON"T KNOW! BUT I applied for this admin job at International Travel Volunteer HQ, (IVHQ) which is affiliated with Non-Government Organizations in developing countries and they do the advertising and get the volunteers to sign up and then send them overseas to volunteer. Anyway, you can google their website by typing in IVHQ and it should come up! I don't ... read more

Hey....SO I was off work at 2 pm today...heading home, and going up a hill and all of a sudden am losing speed....my foot is still on the gas pedal but the car is slowing down!!!! Thank goodness I was in an area of road where there was a passing lane, but it was a 100 km/h area so I pulled off as far as I could before the car completely stopped! Did I mention that it had over heated my first day of work :S and I was 20 minutes late. So I had noticed the gage was at the hottest it could get, so I pulled into a Shell station and a man helped me out and said the water pump was going....so it didn't over heat and stop working, and now we just ... read more
