As usual, I had acquired a pass from work that was good on QANTAS airlines from the USA to Australia. I had to pay the taxes only, which were $45. About a month before the trip, I flew down to Los Angeles for the day in order to get my Australian visa. When the day came to fly to Oz, I was hesitant to go because of my Fiancee. Since we were only engaged at this time, she could not use my free travel benefits. I was really going to miss her, even though the trip would be quick.
