Route since TulumHi all!!! I am not dead!! A quick note to tell you I have sprinted across Mexico since Tulum like a mad man. Palenque: Jungle + Ruins + Waterfalls Oaxaca : City + Mountains like the Alps + Chipolinas Veracruz : Ugly beaches and Port Chachalacas : Dunes of gray sand and a lot of wind And today I arrived in Zipolite to crash down for a couple of days. I have to go and look for a Cabaña now, so I can hang my Hamac and recover from an exhausting-excellent week!!! I had too much of a good time to upload pictures, and there was not so much internet around... But I'll post Photo's, video's in the coming days. Untitled PierceI have been enjoying my vacation, my vacation from work and now my vacation from my bike. I am relaxing in wonderful Kure Beach, NC, the same place that I have been visiting to get away from the Army for the last three years. It's a little weird for me to say but I am actually glad to be back in North Carolina and especially Kure Beach. It has been a tough journy through the southern states of Georgia and South Carolina where the roads are so narrow and the traffic is so busy. I have some good memories about hangin out with friends at the beach here so it feels good to be back in a comfortable place. As I left Savannah, I was a little sad for leaving so soon. I wanted to ... read more

Hey I am in Peurto Escondido on the Oaxacan Coast of Mexico. It is hot as crap down here and the waves are big and brutal. The people continue to be very nice. Right now I am staying a place owned by an expat dude from Texas. I spent four days in Oaxaca, it is a really interesting place with tons of art, culture and history. They had riots here last year, which started as a teachers strike and kinda tunred into burning cars and destruction. I hung with a bunch of really interesting folks from Europe. I stopped by the Street Kids Center in Oaxaca, had some lunch, and the kids used me as a jungle Jim. Also check out some photos at these 2 spots http://picasaweb.google.com/andyexplores http://www.flickr.com/photos/7838390@N05/... read more

Hi all, Well after 3 weeks of cold, snow and rain we finally have some semi decent weather in Toronto. A balmy 22 degress today. Still a little chilly in the cold but in the sun it is mighty hot. Can actually wear less than 6 layers for a change AND short sleeves! It is great.. but is apparently short lived because the cold is forecast again for next week but I will enjoy it while we have it. So, its been a little while since I last wrote. Not a whole lot has been going on. Just kicking into life in the grand city Toronto. I finally have some photos from yesterday as went up to the CN Tower however the wireless isnt working in the hostel at the moment & the photos are all ... read more

Greetings from ca. Slowly getting used to the madness that is Canada. Started work yesterday and was greeted with a shiney new white ibook with my name on it! Days are mostly spent getting up early enough to get down stairs for free pancakes and coffee before 'riding the street car' (catching the tram) to work. 15 min journey. The first few days here were drowned in typical Scottish weather and grey sky mysery but today the sun is shining so brightly that I am forced to wear sunglasses with my coat on. Another novelty! Temps are predicted to rise for the weekend and we should all be walking round in 77 degree temps. Will believe it when I see it though. Everything looks shiney and huge in the sunshine. I have a view of the ... read more

1st Stop North America » United States » Washington » Seattle By sabbytravelersApril 20th 2007 Our train loop allows travelers to get off 3 times in a trip. Our first stop was Seattle where we visited Pike Place, toured the underground and walked a lot! We also rented a car and drove north to the San Juan Islands for 2 days. It was extraordinarily similar to Maine with spectacular views in every direction. The cottage we rented was just 40 feet from the water and overlooked a tranquil little island, with British Columbia off on the horizon. Before leaving the mainland we passed thro... read more

The horses North America » Canada » British Columbia By Sazzle DazzleApril 20th 2007This whole blog is dedicated to the horses, the beautiful beasts who trek mountains for many years of their life, who live off nothing, who ask nothing, who look out for each other and look after their riders through moose attacks to bee attacks to 12 inch mountainous trails, to pulling logs down mountains! Each one has a story to tell and each one with an amazing temperment! Here are some of our rides! May I just say that there was a proceedure to ride here too and we were only allowed to walk and only allowed out for an hour at a time! It sucked! I wanted to gallop!!!! ... read more
