so we went trapsing through Voorheesville, NY today at Thacher Park. we hiked the indian ladder trail, and took a few detours to get ourselves into a few precarious positions! we found a few trails that took us up to about halfway up one of the falls, n then we hiked back along the higher path and ended up having to free climb our way down about 30 feet or so, but we made it safe and sound... we stood underneath another one of the falls and found a cave about 40 feet up or so. i climbed up to check it out but jimmy decided he didn't feel like dying today so i climbed back down. at the end of the trail we decided to live on the edge and go off the beaten ... read more

Well it's finally got hot here in Phoenix, 105/41 degrees these last couple of days; but we didn't expect to get burned in San Diego earlier in the week... A good friend of ours, Nicola, was in San Diego on business this week, and as it's so close (relatively! - Only 380 miles or 6 hrs on cruise control) we thought we would go and pay her a visit. Ginnie had never been to SD, so it seemed like a good opportunity to catch up with a friend from home, see a new city, escape some heat and avoid some work! An all round winner! We made the decision to go and took off an hour later on Monday morning for the drive across the southern desert of Arizona and California - travelling along I-8 ... read more

Nipped down to the local store (spa shop) for some essentials like, extra bar tenders ceaser mix and a giant watermelon (which I seem to be eating about 4 a week). Slight change from the regular pint of semi skimmed and loaf of bread. And noticed that if needs be there are fresh live lobsters swimming round in a huge tank in case I get peckish. Went via the local movie store where I am becoming quite the regular and they don’t even ask my name any more, just taken back a film called ‘friends with money’ staring Jennifer Aniston, thankfully not doing her normal Rachel character. Strange film with no real story line of 4 friends each with varying degrees of wealth and all messed up in their own special way. Move scoring of ... read more

Lissabon-Madrid-Cancun Naja, Cancun halt. ... read more

Sunsets and Sangria North America » Canada » British Columbia » Vancouver Island By Sazzle DazzleMay 9th 2007After too much faffing and disorganisation we never actually made it out on the boat to go fishing! So instead we went for another walk to Halfmoon Bay. Yet another amazing trail, with beer, good company, good music and a lot of time to think, to chill and to absorb! It was amazing day and it was so nice to be around good people and to laugh and be carefree! I wish you could have all been there - the sunset was totally breathtaking! Its crazy to think there is nothing from her... read more

STAYING Chicanna Eco-village PLACES TO VISIT/SEE PLACES TO VISIT/SEE Balamku Becan Chacana There is no information on this site on the web Xpujil Xpujil We picked up the glasses in Campeche and began our long drive south and east, about a six-hour drive. We need to talk about the roads in the Yucastan. There is no shoulder and people drive way too fast. As one approaches a town “sometimes” there is a sign warning drivers of “TOPEAS” (toe-Pays) which are huge speed bumps, however, often there are no si... read more

Stopped at the Redwall Canyon - massive beach in a cavern cut out by the river. Good game of footie. Footie practice at home with Thomas came in handy, but on the few occasions I got close to the goal it became rugby. Retired beaten up and exhausted before the end. Had our first warm breeze today, also our first swimmer. Had my first decent surf. Sanitation discipline has been very good - if one gets a bug the whole group is likely to spend a few days sick. Kitchen and cooking is very well organised. Burners table; chopping table; serving table; washing up table. Fantastic meals. Camp 3 at mile 47. Fantastic walk up another side canyon - Saddle Canyon. Tonight was the first night it was warm enough to stay in shorts til ... read more
