This is my first try at blogging, so it might be a little rough around the edges. Do you ever wish your family and friends at home could see what an awesome vacation deal you got? That is the reason I'm starting this blog. Not to brag, but to show my friends and family what kind of deals are out there. I know a lot of people who rarely take vacations. I think they are overwhelmed by the planning or think it might just be too expensive for them to go. I want to show them with a little planning, that a family vacation truly is within reach. I am a bit of an overplanning nut. I enjoy it. Finding a great vacation bargain is my passion. This year's vacation budget is $1500...yup...you heard that right, ... read more

We are finally off! Because of the cancelled flights discovered on Tuesday, we have been e-mailing and phoning our travel agent for three days and didn't get the final details nailed down until this morning. I just want to thank Eugenia and Daniel at Airtreks for making the extra effort to get this all straightened out before we left. Thanks guys. The net gain is now we have to spend one night in Bangkok, Thailand in between Sri Lanka and Vietnam. Good thing we all love Thai food. It'll be one more experience to talk about and one more country to check off the life list for the kids. Adios.... read more

Elliot's corner: I know it's a weird title and I know you're all thinking WHAT THE HECK, but this entry should explain every thing (I hope). Well here we are in Sedona going to the (ba baba ba baaaaaaaaaaaaa) G R A N D C A N N I O N!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (just to let you know that was trumpet music) Well there's a stream going through the campground so we asked if we could fish. They said sure you don't even need a liscense (wow I think I spelled liscense right. Please write a message if I didn't) Well we tried fishing and ... we caught nothin, zip, 0, notta and no sorry that's all Well I think the only reason they let us fish with out liscense (I think I spell it right again) is ... read more

I dont have time to add photos or waffle on BUT! Thanks to a wonderful thunderstorm last night (no sarcasm, serious!) My plane was just about to take off when the captain was like 'sorry guys, air traffic control said theres a 150 minute wait to take off'. I was annoyed for about 2 minutes then I thought.. hmm. FOOK IT! I watched dvds and listened to le pod. And Slept a bit. When I arrived at McCarran (Las Vegas) everyone was in hysterics and balling their eyes out, like they actually have anywhere THAT important to go to. Idiots. So I just stayed calm and laughed a bit. Then after queuing for a bout40minutes I finally got to speak to an agent, I was so nice to her and I didnt speak that much ... read more

Two rounds down in Oklahoma, lets hope there are two more. I shot rounds of 72 yesterday and 68 today. Currently it is up in the air whether I will make the cut or not. It is hard to imagine shooting 4 under for two days and possibly making the cut, but I guess that’s how it goes some weeks. Yesterday’s 72 was a very good ball striking day and not a very good putting day. I believe I hit 14 greens but only had 2 birdies to show for it. Throw in a couple of bad bogies and you have 72, T-99th. It was just one of those days where I could not get anything going at all, but as good as I hit the ball I really did not feel bad about my round. ... read more

Feeling "Centered" in Sedona North America » United States » Arizona » Sedona By 4RoyceJune 22nd 2007 We are feeling a real sense of both calmness and energy here in Sedona. New age-type folks gather to the area for what they believe are its healing and centering qualities. Personally, I believe it is the natural beauty of the Red Rocks and the Canyons which surround us. Mark believes that we are feeling relaxed from a forced break. Millie needs a new starter and we can't get her fixed until sometime tomorrow or Sunday. Fortunately, a rental car was available and we spent the day exploring. One of... read more

A Good Day
Elliot didn't stop sliding. We did too -- but the picts are not very attractive so we've spared you

So leave at 6am and after a quick stop off for water and coke it was off, an hour later and I'm in the middle of nowhere with just mountains in front and behind and nothing on either side, the other weird thing is that you could drive 20 miles and not see another car, first couple of pictures show nothing. First stop in Death Valley was a place called Dante's View which looks down into Death Valley itself, and some view it is, I was the only one in the car park and to be honest looked like I was the only one for a hundred miles, but to say I was alone would be wrong, as there were several buzzing things dive bombing me at regular intervals, now those who know me know that ... read more
