Alle computere, telefoner, batterier, vandtanke ... read more

Friday, June 4, 2010 It rained all night long and we expect nothing but rain again today. Because of this, we decided to take it slow this morning. Hiking was not going to be a good option for the day so we decided to head into the town of Jackson. The downtown district is Wyoming’s version of Brown County so for those who like to shop in a quaint little district, this was a goldmine. For us, we enjoyed the Mountain High Pizza Pie and snapped a few photos at the antler arch and decided to hit the road. We headed to Granite Hot Springs thinking this would be an easy-to-find sight. Ha! You know it’s out in the middle of God’s country when Garmin says things like “follow unmarked road” and then loses direction all ... read more

Hello to all our friends from Wyoming! We started the day in a light snow and had a beautiful drive over Teton Pass at 6700 feet. Lovely hotel room. We checked out the elk preserve and drove up into Teton national park where three moose were waiting for us to take a picture. We're waiting for Nancy's sister and her husband to arrive. Then, let the party begin!... read more

Mark Posting: Last night I considered multi-tasking by writing a blog while watching the Patriots play the Colts on Sunday night football. I'm thankful I decided to focus on the game though as I fear my computer would have endured an abrupt meeting with the wall. Even though I'm typically not as vocal as, say, my older brother it took quite a bit of restraint to remain on my best behavior while watching the game at the home of Liz's aunt and uncle. It is not worth reliving the horror that was "Football Night in America" as I'm sure any of my family and friends from New England would agree. For anyone who is in the dark as to what had the potential to set me off, feel free to click the link. Deep breath...and we're ... read more

Mark Posting: The last couple posts have been exhaustive recounts of every little thing that Liz and I have done. I can guarantee another one of those will be available to all you eager readers soon enough. However, tonight I am going to save my fingertips and simply upload a bunch of photos that we've taken over the past several days which have not yet made their way onto the blog. Side note - I really don't like the word blog. I enjoy reading several of them and am having a great time writing this one with Liz but find it less than pleasing to read or type the annoying contraction. Yup, I looked it up. Maybe it's common knowledge but I didn't realize b-log is "web log" contracted. If I had been asked to guess ... read more

In May 2008, I visited Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks for the first time. On the way, Mom and I drove through Bridger-Teton National Forest, just south and east of Jackson, on US 189 and US 191. The clouds, the light rain, and the beautiful hills made for a wonderful drive.... read more

Another day and another 500 or so miles in the book. I was not really looking forward to another long day behind the wheel, but man was I wrong. I took highway 16 out of Buffalo and what a drive!!! I went through the Ten Sleep Canyon and later the Wind River Canyon. These were amazing views on the road. I hated to drive, I wanted to look to much. You can really tell where the developments are along the road. Most of the land is brown, but when you come over a hill and see all the green vegetation you know there is civilization. 16 takes you through the Big Horn National Forest and tops out at over 9,600 feet. You then descend down through the the Ten Sleep Canyon. I also drove by the ... read more

We are loving Jackson Hole!!!! It's a great town, with lots to see and do. We ventured into Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) today and I have to say it was one of the most amazing places I have ever been! We feel so blessed to be on this trip and to be seeing the majesty of our Lord! After a great nights rest, we started the day having breakfast at Bubba's BBQ, where biscuits and gravy were the house favorites (see pic) I managed to eat 1/4 of mine. After that we headed north into GTNP. We stopped at the cool visitor's center and then traveled to Jenny Lake. While driving we saw 4 elk (we think) and one sly coyote creeping across the road (sorry no pic of that). Had fun walking around. After ... read more

Had a great drive from Sandy, UT to Jackson, WY today. God's creation is so AMAZING!!! We are now settled at The Cowboy Village in Jackson, WY. It's a cute place close to town. We had a great dinner at The Snake River brewery. Looking forward to exploring this beautiful place. Lelah kept asking us when and if we were at Cowboy Village. At one point she asked "do they have candy in candy village?" and we told her it's called cowboy village and she asked "do the cowboys talk". We had a good laugh at that one. Enjoy the pics! Love and peace, The Moeller's... read more

30th may, 2009 Jackson, Wyoming Little bit of house chores to catch up on this morning and then off to the Grand Teton National Park, back up to Lake Jenny, we took the easy way across the Lake, went by boat to a point where we took the trail to Hidden falls and Inspiration Point. They are not huge walks but certainly uphill all the way. The falls are quite spectacular, up in the snow country and fed by the melt, then it was up to Inspiration Point, a great lookout over lake Jenny and the surrounding district. Came across a small creature named something like Marma, Someone tried to tell us it was a Marmite so a little confused, but will find out. The people we asked didn't know what family it belonged to, so ... read more
