Well, it is the end of week 2 and everything is still great except for one thing. Bret's camera broke. Yep, broke. There is a dial on the back that is the main control of most of its functions and it has broke. How and why we don't know. The dial stopped working while we were in Glacier, but he was still able to use it until the hike in the North Cascades. We were coming back from a hike and he wanted to photograph sunset. I had him take a record shot of the two of us and B-dawg with Mt. Baker in the background first and after that photo it automated itself to large jpeg and won't work. Our instructions were to get to the dock early and get in line with our vehicle. The RV will be in the lower level of the ferryboat. Once the vehicle is parked there, we will not be permitted to return to it, except for three designated times a day, as announced. It has something to do with insurance and /or dog walking!?? Maybe you can figure it out? Bellingham is a neat little town and we did some walking before departure time. Lots of little shops, one purchase was a painting of a bicycle. We made a side trip to Mt. Baker in the Snoqualmie National Forest. We stopped at a National Park/Forest Service visitor’s center. Both of these entities work cooperatively here, which is unusual. They were very helpful routes and hikes and also informed us of a lovely waterfall. We drove the Mt. Baker Scenic Highway for about 50 miles. The scenery is lovely on this “Bob Road”. Mt. Baker is 10,776 feet, ski resort. It holds the world record for snowfall in 1998. It had 1,140 inches, which is over 100 feet of snow that particular winter.
